Workers at a Rio-area scrap yard knee-deep in (mostly) beer cans picked up in the wakes of the alcohol-soaked parades that thread through neighborhoods, day and night, during the city’s Carnival celebrations. At times, the streets run silver, and through most of Carnival the scrap yards run 24/7.
